Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,General Secretary Xi Jinping has attached great importance to the inheritance and development of fine Chinese traditional culture,stressed the importance of inheriting and carrying forward fine traditional clothing culture to national development and national rejuvenation.This paper is based on the Opinions on Comprehensively Strengthening and Improving the Aesthetic Education Work in Schools in the New Era issued by the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council in 2020,which clarifies that vocational education will organically combine art courses with professional courses,strengthen practical education,and offer expandable art courses that reflect the characteristics of vocational education.Clothing design will be integrated into aesthetic education practice education,and the inheritance and development of traditional clothing in modern life will be explored,in order to involve students in research,analysis and exploration of the history and culture of traditional clothing,enhance students'basic abilities and emotional awareness of the inheritance of clothing culture,form correct aesthetic,the view of life and values,thus becoming the inheritors of the new generation of traditional clothing culture.
