Production of high-strength and UV resistant nylon 6 industrial yarn by one-step blending method
In order to improve the UV resistance of nylon 6 industrial yarn,a low volatility and good thermal stability oxalylaniline UV absorbent UV-5 and SEED were selected as additives,mixed evenly with high viscosity nylon 6 chips,and modified by blending method.High strength and UV resistant nylon 6 industrial yarn was produced through a one-step spinning process.The results show that the addition of UV-5 significantly improves the strength retention rate of nylon 6 industrial yarn.When the amount of UV-5 added reaches 0.3‰,the spinning condition of nylon 6 industrial yarn is stable,and the fracture strength can reach 8.2 cN/dtex.After 192 hours of UV lamp irradiation,the strength can still be maintained at around 92.0%.
