Design transformation of regional cultural genes:taking the application of Guangxi Zhuang Brocade patterns in cultural and creative design as an example
Guangxi Zhuang Brocade occupies an important position in the cultural field with its unique patterns and colors.However,the constantly emerging new patterns and colors are impacting people's vision,enriching their choices,and making their aesthetics higher than the demand for skills.Therefore,Zhuang Brocade will face survival problems in the new era.Only by targeting a wide audience and being accepted by the market can it truly survive.This paper takes Guangxi Zhuang Brocade patterns as an example,sorts and classifies patterns from the perspective of regional cultural genes,constructs a gene lineage map,proposes regional gene extraction and transformation paths,combines cultural and creative design cases using Zhuang Brocade patterns,extracts the core cultural points of cultural and creative design brands,analyzes the characteristics of Zhuang Brocade patterns,and combines modern design concepts to promote the transformation and inheritance of regional cultural traditions in contemporary design.
