Design and application of fiber art in public art:taking Toshiko Horiuchi MacAdam's Knitting Miracle Space as an example
With the changes of the times,artists'expression of design has long been not limited to traditional design forms,and the design and application of fiber art are constantly updated and developed.The creation materials of fiber art works are extremely rich,including wool,silk thread,paper,cotton thread,pulp,iron wire,cloth,thread,silver thread,straw,linen and other materials.These materials,because of their creators'alternative use,give people a defamiliarizing visual effect and build a personalized aesthetic experience.This paper takes the Knitting Miracle Space designed by Toshiko Horiuchi MacAdam in 2009 as an example to discuss the design and application of fiber art in public art.
