Shanxi folk culture is widely used in film and television works due to its profound historical accumulation and unique visual characteristics,especially in architecture,festivals,religion and craftsmanship,demonstrating significant regional and cultural value.This paper analyzes the visual design of Shanxi folk elements in film and television works,explores how to enhance cultural connotation and aesthetic value in narrative,and how to balance traditional culture and modern visual style in film and television art design.Research has shown that visual folk symbols in film and television works not only enrich the audience's visual experience,but also provide new opportunities for the dissemination of traditional culture.It is recommended to balance innovation and inheritance of traditional culture in future designs.
