Study of bar patterns in 18th century French women's clothing from the perspective of image science
In the 18th century,France was the center of European fashion and a period of transition from feudal monarchy to decline in politics.Aesthetic taste also underwent a change from Baroque and Rococo to neoclassicism.Clothing,as a symbol of class identity,changes with social,political and cultural changes.The article starts from three historical dimensions of 18th century French silk clothing fabric pattern samples,silk women's clothing physical objects,and female portrait paintings.Through the perspective of image studies,it studies the design characteristics of the bar patterns presented in women's clothing during this period,and explores the influence of social class mobility,aesthetic taste transformation and production technology innovation on this design trend.
