In traditional ethnic clothing,the hat crown,as the first clothing,has rich cultural significance in its form and craftsmanship and constituent elements.This paper focuses on the red tassels on traditional Mongolian hats,using relevant historical documents and archaeological images as the main basis.Firstly,the traditional origin of the red tassels on Mongolian hat crown is traced.Secondly,the inheritance status of the red tassels in various tribes of Mongolia is analyzed.Finally,the symbolic connotation and main characteristics of the red tassels are explored.
