China in the late Qing Dynasty was in an era of turbulence and change.As a special kind of clothing,the military uniform was also changing constantly during this period,gradually changing from the traditional long gown and mandarin jacket to the convenient modern military uniform.China's modern military rank system also came into being during this period,and was expressed through various symbols on the military uniforms.This paper mainly studies the reform of the new army's military uniform and its military rank system in the late Qing Dynasty.
