Exploration of"gamefulness"in landscape design from the perspective of Ludology
Since Kant proposed the theory of"free play",discussions about games in the Western have emerged,particularly with the rise of modern video games,leading to the establishment of Ludology as an academic discipline.There is a close relationship between Ludology and Arts from an aesthetic point of view,and the design principles in landscape design share similarities with games.Thus,exploring landscape design through Ludology can guide the field's development.This paper analyzes several classic landscape design cases using aesthetic and semiotic Ludology,summarizing the design principles of"gamefulness"to investigate landscape design from the perspective of Ludology.Ultimately,it concludes with the design principles of"gamefulness"in contemporary landscape design and the role of"gamefulness"in landscape design.
