Cultural Connotation and Direction of Constructing the Professional Standards of PE Teachers in China——Taking the United States as a Reference
The professional standards are the main focus of education for PE teachers in China.An examination on the professional standards of PE teachers in the United States has found that its theoretical basis is flawed,which has led to many difficulties in educational practice.On the basis of clarifying the significance and value of educational culture to the professional development of PE teachers,the research suggests to construct the professional standards with Chinese characteristics,which should restore teachers'cultural identity and lead the healthy growth of students;continue the tradition of Chinese education and avoid the trend of over-professionalization in PE teacher education;retrieve the foundation of the living world and construct professional standards for integrated PE teachers.
