Axial compression performance of concrete filled steel tubular columns with the same cross section area and different cross section forms
Using concrete-filled steel tube members instead of traditional reinforced concrete members can not only improve the bearing capacity of members, but also reduce the section size of members, and concrete-filled steel tube column has high strength, light weight, good ductility, fatigue resistance and impact resistance and other superior mechanical properties,in addition, but also has the construction performance of saving labor and materials, erection light, fast construction. In order to explore the effects of steel content, core concrete strength and different section forms of the same section size on the mechanical properties of concrete-filled steel tube under axial compression, square and round concrete-filled steel tube columns were established by ABAQUS finite element software, and their axial compression properties were analyzed. It is found that the increase of steel content has a greater effect on the ultimate bearing capacity of round steel tube concrete, the increase of core concrete strength has a greater effect on the ultimate bearing capacity of concrete-filled square steel tube, and different section forms have an insignificant effect on the ultimate bearing capacity, but have a greater impact on the stress-strain curve. The circular specimen has better ductility than the square specimen.
