Effect of homogenization annealing on the structure and properties of 1235 aluminum alloy plate for automotive applications
The effects of homogenization annealing on the microstructure and properties of aluminum sheet for new energy vehicles are studied by OM,SEM and tensile testing machine. The results show that the annealing tempera-ture has a significant effect on the grain growth rate. The grains obtain sufficient activation energy under high tem-perature conditions, which helps them to grow rapidly in a short time. After high-temperature homogenization at 540 ℃,a large number of 3-7 pm precipitated phase particles have formed in the alloy, which are sufficiently large in size, provide sufficient and effective nucleation substrates for recrystallization nucleation. At the same time, these precipitated phase particles can effectively hinder grain boundary migration and prevent the growth of recrystallized grains. After homogenization annealing, the elongation of the sheet has been greatly improved. After homogeniza-tion annealing, the elongation of the blank has been greatly improved, and the fracture scanning shows that the frac-ture of the blank after homogenization annealing is ductile fracture Considering the process and product properties, the homogenization annealing system at 500 ℃ × 4 h is the best choice.
