Determination of P and S content in nickel boron alloy by ICP-OES method
P and S in nickel boron alloys are harmful elements that can affect the plasticity,toughness,and welding performance of alloy materials and applied products.The rapid and accurate determination of P and S content in nick-el boron has important guiding significance for its production and application.Using matrix matching and spectral fitting techniques to eliminate matrix spectral interference,an analytical method for determining P and S content in nickel boron using ICP-OES was established.The results showed that the detection limits of P and S were 0.035μg/mL and 0.022 μg/mL.The wavelengths of P and S were 185.827 nm,185.878 nm and 181.972 nm.According to the method,standard addition recovery experiments were conducted on P and S in the sample,with a recovery rate of 85%~108%.The proposed method was applied for the determination of P and S in nickel boron alloys sam-ples.The relative standard deviations(RSD,n=11)of determination results were between 1.26%and 9.20%.Meanwhile the content of P and S in nickel boron sample was also determined by spectrophotometry and high-fre-quency infrared spectroscopy,the results were basically consistent with those obtained by the experimental method.The method is concise and quick with high precision and accuracy.
