A novel Zn11 coordination complex[Zn3(OH)(C8H4O4)(C14H9N4)3]n:facile synthesis,crystal structure and characterization
A new coordination ZnⅡ complex[Zn3(OH)(C8H4O4)(C14H9N4)3]nbased on IPA(isophthalic acid)and BBIH2(BBIH2=2,2'-bibenzimidazole)has been synthesized and characterized. The structure analysis reveals that the Zn1 and Zn2 are four-coordinated tetrahedron geometry, and Zn3 is five-coordinated trigonal bipyramid geome-try.The IR spectra,UV spectra, fluorescence property,TGA and magnetism analysis are researched. The IR data shown that the coordinated carboxyl group is in monodentate coordination mode. The fluorescent emission peaks si-ted at 394 nm and it can be assigned to LLCT.The TGA shown showed good thermal stability. The molecular or-bitals calculation was performed using Gaussian 09.Through the magnetization versus temperature curve, the com-plex is found to be ferromagnetic, which illustrates the potential application of the complex in the field of magnet-ism.
