Estimating the corrosion resistance strength of fiber reinforced plastics for table tennis sports equipment
In order to meet the high requirements of table tennis sports equipment for material performance,the cor-rosion resistance of fiber reinforced plastics for table tennis sports equipment was tested and studied.The weight change rate,strength retention rate and bending strength change test of fiber reinforced plastics for table tennis sports equipment were completed under different environmental conditions.The test results show that the hardness of the specimen changes most after soaking in 8%NaOH solution,and the hardness changes little after soaking in distilled water and 4%NaC1 solution;The retention rate of the bending strength of the sealed edge specimens soaked in 8%NaOH solution was the highest,while the retention rate of the bending strength of the non sealed edge specimens soaked in this solution was the lowest,reaching 25%;The results show that the alkali resistance of FRP at room temperature is higher than that at non room temperature,and the weight change rate,strength reten-tion rate and bending strength of the samples are the smallest when they are stored for about 14 days,and the corro-sion resistance of the samples after edge sealing is higher than that of the samples without edge sealing.It can be seen that the fiber reinforced plastic used for table tennis sports equipment has strong corrosion resistance and high alkali resistance,and the edge sealing treatment can further improve its corrosion resistance.
