Research on Emission Characteristics and Emission Reduction Approaches of Volatile Organic Compounds From External Floating Roof Crude Oil Storage Tanks
The Tanks 4.0.9d model was used to study the emission characteristics and influencing factors of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)from external floating roof crude oil storage tanks. The results showed that the VOCs emissions from the external floating roof tank mainly come from rim-seal loss and deck fitting loss; The influencing factors of paint color/shade,internal shell condition,rim-seal system, turnovers per year, meteorological parameters, all affected the VOC emissions; The internal shell condition,rim-seal system were the main factors affecting VOCs emissions from storage tanks;Using secondary sealing could significantly reduce VOCs emissions,and"liquid-mounted + rim-mounted"had the best effect; The meteorological parameter of temperature and wind speed were positively correlated with VOC emissions, while atmospheric pressure was negatively ed with VOC emissions;By selecting secondary sealing forms and light colored outer wall paint surfaces, regular rust removal on the inner wall of the storage tank, selecting light colored outer wall paint surfaces, and insulation measures for the tank body,VOCs emissions from external floating roof storage tanks can be effectively reduced.
