Research on Pretreatment of Coke Quenching Wastewater by Membrane Electrolysis Coupled With Fe-C Heterogeneous Catalytic Fenton Process
Using membrane electrolysis coupled with Fe-C heterogeneous catalytic Fenton for pretreatment of coke quenching wastewater, the order of membrane electrolysis acidification efficiency and alkalization efficiency from high to low is as follows:negative membrane positive chamber>positive membrane positive chamber>asbestos membrane positive chamber and positive membrane negative chamber>negative membrane negative chamber>asbestos membrane negative chamber. However, the lifespan of the ion membrane is short in a strong oxidizing environment,so the cost of using asbestos membrane, membrane electrolysis, and pH adjustment with reagents is 12.33 and 4.70 yuan/t,respectively,But the former reduced the TDS concentration in the effluent by 27.69%.The optimal experimental conditions for Fe-C heterogeneous catalysis of Fenton are pH value = 3,Fe-C dosage of 800 g/L,aeration rate of 3 L/min,H2O2 dosage of 6 mL/L,time of 90 minutes. The dried iron sludge yield is 18.75%~30.75%lower than traditional Fenton, saving costs of 4.20~7.49 yuan/t,which can effectively avoid the shortcomings of large Fenton dosage, high iron sludge yield, and high effluent TDS.
