Accounting for the Value of Carbon Sinks in"Snails-Mussels-Fish and Grasses"Ecological Wetlands
To scientifically assess the carbon sink value of the ecological wetland"snails-mussels-fish-grasses"and explore the carbon sink capacity of different biotypes, this study calculated the carbon sink value of the wetland organisms using survey data. The results indicate that"snails-mussels-fish-grasses"can sequester carbon at a rate of 4.10~6.80 Mg/hm2,with a corresponding carbon sink value of approximately 1459.39~2421.94 Yuan/hm2.The carbon sink capacity of organisms in the wetland was ranked as freshwater shellfish and snails>aquatic plants>fish,in the order of 16.53,5.54~15.45,and 1.84 Mg/hm2,respectively.In comparison to other wetland types in China, the ecological wetland model based on"snails-mussels-fish-grasses"has a higher carbon sink value. This model represents a new type of carbon sink enhancement.
