The strengthening effect of polyvinyl alcohol on waste brick aggregate, and the effects of polyvinyl alcohol concentration and soaking time of recycled aggregate on the flexural properties of recycled concrete were studied by using polyvinyl alcohol solution as the modified material, and the soaking time of pavement paving bricks was modified by immersion method. The results showed that the water absorption rate of the recycled aggregate strengthened by polyvinyl alcohol solution decreased with the increase of the concentration of polyvinyl alcohol solution, with a maximum decrease of 16%,and the apparent density reached 85%of that of natural coarse aggregate. The flexural strength of recycled concrete prepared with modified waste bricks as coarse aggregate has a high tendencing trend with the increase of polyvinyl alcohol solution concentration, and the flexural strength is related to the soaking time of polyvinyl alcohol solution, which reaches 3.5 MPa after soaking for 5 min and 3.69 MPa after soaking time of 90 min.
