In order to evaluate the construction quality of the fill foundation after strong compaction treatment, the compaction degree of the fill surface layer is detected, and the compaction degree of the deep layer of the fill foundation needs to be detected at the same time.In view of the shortcomings of the traditional dynamic cone testing method,a brazing method was proposed to detect the deep compaction degree of the fill.In order to verify the feasibility of the new technology,a set of brazing test device was designed to carry out model test research, and the fill soil was compacted by using high hammer less compaction and low hammer more compaction respectively. The test results show that when the total tamping energy is the same, the tamping effect of high hammer and less tamping is better than that of low hammer and more tamping, and it is concluded that there is a relationship between the degree of compaction and the number of hammer strokes of the brazing probe. The compaction degree at each depth of the fill measured by the ring knife method was fitted with the number of hammer strokes of the brazing probe, and the regression equation between the two was established, and it was found that there was a good correlation between the compaction degree of the fill and the number of hammer strokes of the brazing probe, indicating that the technology of detecting the compaction of the soil layer by the brazing method was operable.
