Due to the vast internal space,high personnel density,complex functions,and more combustibles,once a fire occurs,the smoke and flames spread quickly,which brings difficulties to fire extinguishing and personnel evacuation.The design of smoke exhaust systems plays a particularly important role in the design of fire protection in tall spaces.Based on the general process of smoke prevention and exhaust system in tall space in engineering design,this paper discusses the division of smoke prevention and exhaust in tall space,the calculation of smoke exhaust volume,the design of mechanical smoke exhaust,the smoke exhaust facilities and the control method of smoke exhaust system.
