The purpose of this paper is to discuss the application and advantages of energy-saving and green building materials in construction engineering,and to study the different application fields of energy-saving and green building materials,including energy-saving materials,green materials and environmentally friendly materials.A more sustainable,environmentally friendly and cost-effective built environment can be achieved through the use of efficient insulation,improvements in lighting systems,the use of renewable energy,the use of renewable materials,the use of low-VOC coatings and adhesives,the substitution of hazardous substances,the use of recycled building materials,and ongoing monitoring and maintenance,which not only help reduce energy costs and protect the environment,but also improve indoor air quality and the quality of life for occupants.
