In this paper,the tensile and mechanical properties of the new stainless steel end plate tapping connection are compared with the traditional high-strength bolted connection,and the finite element analysis of the stainless steel end plate tapping connection is carried out to study its failure mode,force mechanism and ultimate bearing capacity.The analysis results show that with the increase of the thickness of the tapping end plate,the failure mode of the connector changes from the failure of the tapping end plate to the breakage failure at the first row of threads of the bolt,which reveals the failure mechanism of the new stainless steel end plate tapping connection form,and the ultimate bearing capacity of the tapping connector reaches the theoretical value of the traditional connection,indicating the reliability of the connector.
