Shale ceramsite is a lightweight material with high strength and good insulation properties,which has great application potential in the construction industry.This paper first introduces the physical and chemical properties of shale ceramsite,then discusses different methods of shale ceramsite modification,such as heat treatment technology,surface coating and composite material technology,and finally analyzes the application of modified shale ceramsite in lightweight concrete,thermal insulation materials and sound-absorbing materials,in order to provide a certain direction for the research work of related enterprises.
