Simulation on Arresting Gear Operating Characteristics under Abnormal Landing of Carrier-Based Aircraft
In order to explore the operating characteristics of hydraulic buffer-type arresting gear under abnormal landing of carrier-based aircraft, the mechanism modeling method is used to establish the dynamic model of landing aircraft and the whole system of arresting gear, including the arresting machine, cam calve and cable system, and the accuracy of the model is tested based on the actual operation data.On this basis, the simulation experiments of abnor-mal landing of carrier-based aircraft such as overspeed, overweight or relaxation of cam valve drive cable were carried out.The results show that overweight or overspeed landing will lead to overload operation of the arresting gear and threaten the safe landing of the carrier-based aircraft, and the relaxation of the driving cable will delay the action time of the cam valve, lower the pressure of the main hydraulic cylinder and lower blocking force at the initial arresting stage, and even lead to the rigid impact between the plunger and cylinder barrel. The research results reveal the oper-ation law of carrier-based aircraft arresting gear under typical abnormal conditions, which has certain theoretical sig-nificance and engineering application value.
