Research on Control of Frequency Regulation for Heating Unit Assisted by Energy Storage in Thermal Networks
With the gird-connection of renewable energy sources such as wind and solar, the coal-fired units are required to participate in the deep-peak-shaving and respond quickly to automatic generation control(AGC)com-mand.However,the traditional control method of load regulation is difficult to make the unit handle with the frequent variations of the AGC command. The thermal network consists of tubes and thermal equipments, which has strong abil-ity to store energy. The rational utilization of the energy storage can improve the speed of load in a short time.To solve this problem, this paper studied on the load regulation of the heat supply unit assisted by the heat storage in the ther-mal networks, and designed the coordinated control system(CCS)based on the deviation between the load of the unit and the AGC command.Simulation results illustrate that the proposed CCS can improve the ability of the unit to re-spond the AGC command and guarantee the stability of supply steam pressure.
