Due to problems such as high cost, complicated detection and difficult promotion of the existing bridge dynamic response measurement system and equipment,a dynamic response measurement technique for bridge struc-tures based on the TM-DIC method is proposed. The method utilizes common Chinese character features as identifica-tion targets, uses smartphones as acquisition devices, and transmits image and video data using wireless networks to realize non-contact portable measurements.Compared with existing vision methods, this technique incorporates tem-plate matching and digital image correlation methods to achieve self-tracking recognition of targets and automatic de-lineation of regions of interest, which greatly reduces human intervention. The accuracy and stability of the method were further verified by laboratory model experiments and field experiments. The results show that the method has the significant advantages of low cost, high accuracy and good portability, which provides a new solution for the dynamic response measurement of bridge structures.
