A hierarchical secret image sharing scheme was proposed to address the fine-grained issue of lacking multi-level access control within or between the sets in current image secret sharing.The matrix properties inherent in images were utilized to mini-mize the interference to original pixels.Through matrix reversible multiplication,an associated matrix was constructed among secret images.Efficient matrix operations were introduced for share generation and secret recovery.The first-level secret image was recovered when the corresponding threshold was satisfied by the necessary participants in the set.Similarly,the second-level secret image was recovered when the overall threshold was met by all participants.The simulation results show that the encryp-tion algorithm has good security and robustness.
