On Building High-quality Police-Community Relationship:An Empirical Explanation from the Police-Community Interaction Model
The study of police-community relations is easy to fall into"investment myths"of"high expectations and low relationships","weak ideas and strong methods",and"light process and heavy results"in the research of police-community relationship.Based on the theory of interactive ritual chain,by establishing a police-civilian interaction model of"interactive input-interactive process-interactive outcome",and conducting empirical analysis with relevant samples,we can deeply explore the influence of police competence and public expectation on the investment process and outcome as interactive input.Combined with the test results, three aspects, establishing high-level and high-quality public expectations, doing a good job in ideological guidance and practical method guidance, and paying attention to the value-added emotions and symbols of police-public interaction, can be used as countermeasures to break through the"investment myth",so as to provide a new practical path for building high-quality police-public relationship.
