Production and emission reduction decisions of supply chain with third-party remanufacturing
Third-party remanufacturing is the main form of remanufacturing, including outsourcing and authorization mode.Based on the carbon tax and the heterogeneous demands of consumers, game models between a manufacturer and a third-party remanufacturer were established. The production and emission reduction decisions of supply chain under outsourcing and authorization mode were compared and analyzed. The results showed that:①according to the emission reduction effect of remanufacturing, the manufacturer and the remanufacturer could choose different pro-duction strategies.② the manufacturer's own profit and the total profit of the supply chain would increase with the e-mission reduction, while the remanufacturer's profit did not necessarily increased;the outsourcing remanufacturing was better than authorization model in terms of economic and environmental benefits.③when the emission reduction effect of remanufacturing was strong and consumers were more comfortable with the remanufactured products, the centralized decision-making could increase the total profit of the supply chain and reduce the total carbon emission.④the manufacturer increased the outsourcing fee(reduced the licensing fee)and shared part of the profits of the re-manufacturer,which could achieve the coordination of the outsourcing(authorized)remanufacturing supply chain.
