Relative Distortions of Factor Prices and Biased Technological Progress:On the Development of New Quality Productivity
Promoting the efficiency of technological progress with factor marketization reform is the key to the development of new quality productivity.Through the perspective of biased technological progress, the evolution of relative factor price distortion and its impact and mechanism on biased technological progress are explored by selecting provincial panel data as the research sample. The results of the study show that:Firstly, since the reform and opening up,the increase in the level of capital-labor relative price distortion significantly inhibits technical progress biased toward capital:Secondly, with the increase in the level of capital deepening, the inhibitory effect of capital-labor relative price distortion on technical progress biased toward capital is getting stronger and stronger. With the incre-ase in the level of the share of investment in state-owned economy, the inhibitory effect on technical progress in favor of capital is getting weaker. Therefore, accelerating the reform of factor marketization, eliminating the distortion of factor prices, and guiding the appropriate bias of technological progress will be conducive to releasing the dividends of technological progress and efficiency enhancement, thus promoting the development of new quality productivity.
