Sending Charcoal in the Snow or Drinking Water to Quench Your Thirst:The Impact of the Digital Economy on the Capacity Utilization Rate of Enterprises
In recent years,in the context of digital economy, more and more attention has been paid to the impact of enterprise capacity utilization on their own high-quality development.Based on the panel data of A-share listed companies from 2012 to 2021,this paper empirically examines the impact of the digital economy on capacity utilization. It is found that the digital economy will have an inverted"U"-shaped impact on capacity utilization through three channels:Enterprise production efficiency, market information asymm-etry and industry competitiveness, and this conclusion is still valid after replacing the explanatory variables, lagging main variables and endogenous analysis.Further analysis shows that compared with non-state-owned enterprises and non-high-tech enterprises, the impact of digital economy on the capacity utilization rate of state-owned enterprises and high-tech enterprises is more significant, and the bala-nce point of state-owned enterprises is higher. The results show that while actively promoting the development of the digital economy, the government should formulate policies according to the characteristics of enterprises and local conditions, and reasonably give full play to the advantages of digital resources to achieve high-quality development of enterprises.
