Experiment of UF-NF Hybrid Membrane Process of Advanced Purification for Natural Rainwater
As population growth and urban industrialization continue to accelerate, the demand for water resources is increasing. To alleviate the pressure of water resources and reduce the burden of the urban drainage system,an UF-NF hybrid membrane process for advanced purification of natural rainwater was carried out to investigate the effect of UF-NF hybrid membrane process on the treatment of natural rainwater quality. The experimental results showed that the UF-NF hybrid membrane process has a significant purification effect on rainwater water quality, and the removal rates of UV254,total dissolved solids(TDS),total organic carbon(TOC),and conductivity were 87.5%,66.7%,32.0%,and 61.4%,respectively.Excellent removal efficiencies of solid particles, dissolved organic matter, and fluorescent organic matter in rainwater was achieved for UF-NF hybrid membrane process.Compared with conventional water treatment processes(coagulation-sedimentation-filtration process),UF-NF hybrid membrane process has shown great application potential in the fields of efficient separation and resource utilization of rainwater due to its advantages of excellent water quality,no secondary pollution, and high treatment efficiency.
