Special Fire Protection Design for Comprehensive Development of Underground WWTPs
The combination of underground wastewater treatment plants(WWTPs)and the comprehensive development of aboveground industries at home has become a new development model,which has advantages such as land resource intensification and nearby water resource utilization.However,the new comprehensive development model lacks relevant design specifications for fire protection design,and there are no relevant cases at home and abroad.Taking the comprehensive development of the Linping Second WWTP project in Zhejiang Province as the research object,a special fire protection design analysis is conducted to summarize the design points,for reference in similar projects.Through investigation and research on foreign building fire protection design standards,combined with its own characteristics,the project proposes fire protection design strategies from the aspects of fire protection zoning,fire separation,fire load control,personnel evacuation design,smoke control and exhaust design,fire suppression system,etc.,and adopts personnel evacuation software STEPS and smoke simulation software FDS.Through quantitative calculation,the fire safety analysis of the whole scheme is carried out to demonstrate its fire safety.The results show that the measures adopted by the project,such as large fire compartment,complete separation of ground and underground fire and strengthening of fire grade of separated floors,and complete independence of upper and lower evacuation systems.It can ensure personnel safety under normal operation of the project fire control.
