Technical and Economic Analysis of MBR New Fine Membrane Method in Situ Upgrading and Capacity Expansion Scheme for Municipal WWTP
A municipal WWTP plans to upgrade the effluent standard and capacity. The treatment scale will be expanded from the current 50 000 m3/d to 100 000 m3/d,and the effluent standard will be upgraded from the first class B discharge standard to the quasi class Ⅳ criteria of surface water. In order to explore energy-saving and economic transformation plans, this case elaborates on the process design principles of traditional solutions and new fine membrane solutions, and compares the economic indicators of the two.By comparison,it can be concluded that the new fine membrane method solution has a shorter construction period and lower construction difficulty compared to traditional methods, and has significant advantages in land intensive renovation projects;Meanwhile, the new fine membrane method scheme can save 32.3%of the total project investment and increase the profit per ton of water treatment by 30%.Therefore,the proportion of new fine membrane solutions in domestic WWTP upgrading and capacity expansion projects has great potential for improvement. This case provides new ideas for the selection of WWTP renovation processes in the future.
