Research on Road Scale Estimation Method Based on Road Network Extraction
In order to estimate the roads demand in cultivated land in rural areas,a method is proposed for estimating the road scale in rural cultivated land based on the vector road network extracted from high resolution remote sensing image.Comprehensive-ly considering the distribution of road network and villages, the estimated density coefficient of the road network and the density co-efficient of villages are designed, and the geographical environment is used as the classification in order to fully consider actual de-mand for road construction in rural cultivated areas which are quantitatively calculated.Experiments show that, compared with the actual demand of the transportation authority, the estimation accuracy of this method can reach 92.61%of the actual demand. This research can provide a method for measuring the road scale in rural cultivated land based on remote sensing image which is in addi-tion to traditional methods such as the land coefficient method and the connectivity method as an effective supplement to traditional methods. The design of this method is reasonable in terms of applicability.
