Enterprise resource planning (ERP) , as a means of promoting enterprise informatisation construction for small and medium-sized enterprises, has gradually come to be known. However its practical application in small and medium-sized enterprises is still not ideal, and the effect is also uneven. In this paper, we analyse the bottleneck of the application of ERP system in small and medium-sized enterprises and its demand features, and then elaborate on the concept that the ERP system becomes the spurring force in promoting the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in combination with the functions and features of the ERP system developed by Shanghai Zhiding Technology Development Co. , Ltd. , its application environment, and its applied results. We also emphasise in the paper that only by incessant reform and innovation on ERP system can the enterprises transformation be injected the fresh vigour.
