Planning and Development of Underground Commercial Space in Metro Station Area——Take the Deji Underground Commercial Space of Nanjing Xinjiekou Metro Station as an Example
The metro has gained popularity among the general public as a convenient mode of transportation.The vitality and convenience of underground commercial spaces in metro station areas directly impact people's travel experiences and quality of life.However,numerous project cases have negatively affected the basic operation and development of these underground commercial spaces due to inadequate preliminary planning,weak policy foundations,unclear functional positioning,disorganized traffic management,and lack of distinctiveness.In light of this situation,this paper aims to elucidate the development principles and significance analysis for such spaces by examining the successful case of Nanjing Xinjiekou metro station Deji Plaza's underground commercial space from three key dimensions:policy formulation,functional positioning and transportation organization.This study seeks to clarify how to effectively utilize underground land resources in Metro Stations while creating attractive,sustainable,and well-functioning underground commercial spaces.
