This study explores the technical aspects in applying new kinds of metal materials in modem Buddhist architecture,using the Guanyin Shrine project on Mount Putuo as a case study.The research analyzes various new metal materials,such as integrated molded irregular copper plates,titanium tiles,aluminum eaves,and their associated processing techniques employed in the project.The goal is to systematically examine and summarize the principles and strategies governing the utilization of these innovative metal materials in the context of Buddhist architecture.Furthermore,the study provides insights,prospects,and forecasts for the future tendencies in application of these materials,aiming to serve as a reference and guidance for future development in the field.
