Study on the Influence of Section Weakening on the Stability of Axial Compression Wall or Column
In order to understand the relationship between the weakening of cross section and the dangerous points of walls or columns, the stability of axially compressed walls or columns with different degrees of weakening of cross sections at different positions is studied in this paper.Firstly, based on the energy principle, the approximate formulas for calculating the critical pressure and stability coefficient of walls or columns weakened by different positions and different degrees of full section along the vertical direction under different boundary conditions, axial compression and small deformation are deduced. Then the relationship is discussed, and the optimal position of wall or column stability reinforcement is put forward.By comparing the calculation results with the finite element software, the accuracy of the approximate formula is discussed. On this basis,by using the equal stiffness substitution method, the calculation method of the stability coefficient corresponding to the weakening of the cross section at different horizontal positions on the wall or column is put forward, and its application in engineering is demonstrated by an example.
