Research on Reasonable Side to Mid-span Ratio of Composite Beam Cable-stayed Bridges
Composite beam cable-stayed bridges have been widely used in recent years due to their lighter self weight and greater crossing capacity compared to concrete bridges. The side to mid-span ratio is an important parameter in the design of cable-stayed bridges, and different side to span ratios have a significant impact on the stiffness, internal forces, and other aspects of the structure. This paper takes a 420 m composite beam cable-stayed bridge as an example, establishes multiple finite element models, analyzes and explores the effects of different side to span ratios on the main beam, cables, bridge towers, and other components of the cable-stayed bridge, and obtains a reasonable side to span ratio for the composite beam cable-stayed bridge. This paper has certain guiding significance for practical engineering design.
