Model Experimental Research and Practical Application of Fair-faced Concrete in Open Excavation Tunnels
Fair-faced concrete does not require any external decoration and has been attracted much attention in the construction industry in recent years.This paper conducts research on bucket tests and scaled model tests of fair-faced concrete.Optimize raw materials,determine aggregate gradation,accurately design concrete admixtures,optimize the mix proportion of fair-faced concrete,and prepare fair-faced concrete that meets the structural mechanics,crack resistance,and durability performance of open excavation tunnel.The influence of templates,release agents,and pouring vibration on the appearance quality of fair-faced concrete is studied by using a combination of qualitative and quantitative evaluations and clarify the technical parameters applicable to fair-faced concrete in open excavation tunnels.It has been successfully applied in the Jingjiang Yangtze River Tunnel in Jiangyin,achieving good results,with broad application prospects and engineering reference significance.
