Treatment of Water Gushing Accident in Foundation Pit of a Pumping Station in Nanjing
In the process of deep foundation pit construction, due to the lack of understanding of groundwater control, deep foundation pit water inrush accidents occur from time to time. The maximum excavation depth of the pumping station project in Nanjing was 16.9 m,and water gushing occurred when it was excavated to a depth of 13 m.After the accident, the construction side took the base reinforcement measures at the first time, but under the huge head pressure, the grouting reinforcement effect was not good, and the water gushing was not solved.Later, dewatering measures were introduced.Three dewatering wells were constructed first, and the pumping test was carried out.The test results show that the permeability coefficient of the aquifer can reach 30.26 m/d,which means permeability is strong. Then, based on the numerical method,a three-dimensional groundwater flow numerical model was established to calculate the number of dewatering wells required, and a total of 18 dewatering wells outside the pit were laid. After the dewatering wells were constructed and pumped, the water level was lowered below the bottom of the pit,and the floor construction was quickly completed, which indicated that the danger was successfully dealt with.It can provide reference for similar projects.
