This paper discusses the landscape planning and design method of a tourism-oriented small town using the example of the Wuxiang Water Town Project in Lishui.It explores the application of place theory in creating distinctive townscapes,emphasizing the relationship between landscape features and the unique characteristics of the site.It concludes by proposing a landscape design concept originating from the original site characteristics,which holds practical significance in the field of distinctive small town planning and design.
