Effect of Citric Acid on Fluidity of Cement Paste and Its Mechanism of Action
It is found that citric acid decreases the early fluidity of cement paste and improves the later fluidity retention ability by testing the fluidity of cement paste mixed with citric acid.The effect mechanism of citric acid on the fluidity of cement paste was studied by testing the water reducer adsorption,early hydration products,and specific surface area.The results showed the main reason for the reduction of fluidity was that citric acid weakened the adsorption of water reducer on the surface of cement particles and promoted the formation of ettringite.
