Practice Exploration of Protection and Development of Traditional Villages——Case study of Taihua Town,Yixing City,Jiangsu Province
As an important outcome of farming civilization,traditional villages are important carriers for inheriting history and culture.Jiangsu Prov-ince takes provincial traditional villages as important starting points,explores protection and development practices that adapt to the actual situation of the province.Based on the local practice of protection and development of traditional villages in Jiangsu Province,this paper takes Taihua Town of Yixing City as an example,explains the characteristics of traditional villages distributed within its territory from three aspects:village distribution,site selection and pattern,as well as material resources and non-material resources,and puts forward corresponding suggestions on the existing problems of"only pay attention to the declaration work of traditional villages,and neglect the protection work","disadvantages of individual village protection"and"contradiction between protection and development",which could provide reference for the protection and development of traditional villages.
