In order to solve the practical problems of poor drainage,severe pollution,and frequent occurrence of waterlogging disasters in current cities,this article introduces the basic concept and importance of sponge cities,clarifies the problems and shortcomings in the introduction of sponge city concept in the current architectural planning and design process,and then proposes optimization measures for the introduction of sponge city concept in the architectural planning and design process from both the goal and design aspects,In order to provide reference for relevant personnel,fully introduce the concept of sponge city in architectural design,and achieve the expected results.
