Research on Systematic and Regional Promotion of Sponge City Construction in Kunshan City
Kunshan City is one of the first pilot cities for the construction of Sponge Cities in Jiangsu Province,and the second batch of demonstration cities for systematic and regional promotion of Sponge City construction in China.This article systematically elaborates on the implementation plan for promoting the Sponge City construction throughout the entire region of Kunshan.It analyzes the basic characteristics of Kunshan City,as well as the current situation,main problems and demands of Sponge City construction.In combination with the construction goals,a systematic technical route for promoting the Sponge City construction throughout the entire region is proposed.Through implementation strategies at different levels such as regional watersheds,cities,facilities,and communities,Kunshan scheme is provided for the construction of Sponge City in plain water network cities,in order to further promote the high-quality development of Sponge Cities in China,improve urban safety resilience,and enhance the livable ecological level of cities.
