Design Strategies for Urban Comprehensive Transportation Hubs based on Parking Lot Scale and Transportation Planning——Taking West Square Comprehensive Transportation Hub of Xinxiang East Station as example
With the rapid development of railway transportation in recent years, the importance of planning and construction of comprehensive transportation hubs as important nodes of urban and national railway networks is increasing day by day.Faced with the increasing railway passenger volume year by year, the existing station buildings and supporting parking lots are no longer able to meet the needs of urban transportation development. In the face of a new round of upgrading and renovation, how to create a three-dimensional,convenient,and smooth comprehensive transportation hub has become an urgent problem for cities to solve. This article combines the planning and design practice of the comprehensive transportation hub at the West Square of Xinxiang East Station, conducts research and analysis on the pain points of the existing station traffic situation, scientifically positions the parking lot scale and traffic organization based on passenger flow prediction, and proposes the design concept of"no wind and rain, zero transfer"large-scale comprehensive transportation hub under the new situation, providing design reference for future railway transportation hub practice.
