Practice and Reflection on the Dual-use Design Strategy for Routine and Emergency Situations of Infectious Diseases Hospital in Jiangsu Province
Infectious diseases hospitals are specialized facilities designated for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with infectious diseases specified under the National Infectious Disease Law.They are not only pivotal in addressing infectious public health events, but also play an essential role as foundational infrastructures for treating patients and effectively curbing sources of transmission.Taking a certain infectious diseases hospital in Jiangsu Province as example, this paper introduced its"dual-use design strategy"for both routine and emergency situations. The key points in functional zoning, process layout, process streamline, and electromechanical system design have been summarized. Moreover, based on the practice of this project, key issues of primary concern in this field are identified and proposed, and several future development trends are forecasted.
